Great reflection on Advent, and especially about the importance of Advent being more than a "prelude to Christmas." Thank you.

Santa never did deliver that ukulele from the wish book.

I love it! Who hasn't seen the long disappointed look in the eyes of a child not getting what they "wanted" for Christmas!

But then again...is it any wonder God doesn't give us we WANT, but instead gives us what we NEED! The boring gifts I get at Christmas most of the time are those practical and needed, as opposed to wanted and eventually "useless."

Thanks for giving me a different perspective! Just change what your looking for? God seems to "get" us every single time with this one :-)
